5 Mistakes People Make When Ordering Custom T-Shirts (and How to Avoid Them)

We've been doing custom printing for years; we've seen the same mistakes so many times that we've now made a list. We're sharing it so you don't make them.

1. Low-resolution photos

A photo saved from WhatsApp, screenshotted three times, will print blurry. Solution: upload the original photo; if there's a "high quality" option on your phone, choose it.

2. Cluttered design

Photo + three lines of text + date + heart + name… All together, it can't breathe. The most beautiful designs are always the simplest: one photo, one sentence. Let the design breathe.

3. Dark photos

Dim shots taken at night will appear even darker on fabric. A clear shot taken in daylight always prints better.

4. Rushing the size

With the excitement of a gift, the size is guessed, then an exchange email arrives. We cannot exchange personalized items (because they are printed for you) — so take two minutes and check the size chart.

5. Leaving it to the last minute

Personalized items are prepared in 2-4 business days. If the birthday is tomorrow, we'll have a hard time getting it ready today. For gifts with a special date, order them a week in advance and relax.

If you pay attention to these, what comes out of your hands will not be a "printed t-shirt" but a memory cherished for years. To get started: Design Your Own.
